Beauty & Personal Care

What We Did:

  • Specialist Manufacturer Identification: Identified and shortlisted specialist cosmetic packaging factories against strict criteria - cleanroom manufacturing capability for pharmaceutical-grade glass, expertise in heavy-bottomed premium molded glass, precision-engineered leak-proof applicator assemblies, and willingness to accept lower initial MOQs for a D2C brand.

  • Product Specification Development: Acted as the technical bridge between the client's design team and the factory floor. Translated aesthetic concepts into factory-ready 3D technical specifications - exact tolerances for ergonomic cap closures, custom pump dosages, glass wall thickness and weight specifications, neck finish compatibility with tamper-evident closures, and material compatibility requirements between the client's formulations and the glass/liner materials.

  • Sample Development & Iteration Management: Managed the complete sample cycle - initial prototype review, dimension corrections, finish adjustments, pump mechanism refinement, and compatibility testing with the client's actual formulations. The first sample round identified a seal material incompatibility with one of the client's vitamin C serums - an issue that would have caused oxidation and product degradation at scale. Coordinated a liner material swap with the factory before proceeding to production approval.

The Impact:

1%

Acceptable Quality Limit

1% Acceptable Quality Limit achieved - sourced via specialized international glass manufacturers with zero defect variances across custom moulds.

Zero

Compliance Delays

Zero compliance delays - documentation and classification handled before first shipment.

4x volume capacity established - a repeatable sourcing and QA loop supporting the client's high-velocity D2C product launches.

4X

Volume Capacity

Product compatibility issue (vitamin C serum liner degradation) identified and resolved at sample stage - preventing a batch-level quality failure at production scale.

The Impact:

Case Studies

The Client:

The Client:

A premium Indian skincare brand built on proprietary, lab-developed formulations sold direct-to-consumer.

The Challenge:

A premium Indian skincare brand built on proprietary, lab-developed formulations sold direct-to-consumer.

The client's product formulations were genuinely differentiated - clinically backed actives, custom concentrations, and a brand positioning that demanded packaging to match. But domestic packaging suppliers couldn't deliver what a premium skincare line needs - The gap between the client's brand ambition and what was locally available was significant.

Translating a brand team's design intent into factory-ready technical specifications is a product development exercise, not a procurement exercise. Most sourcing agents skip this step entirely, sending the client's mood board to a factory and hoping for the best. The results are predictably inconsistent.

Additionally, the client's formulations created compatibility constraints - certain active ingredients react with specific glass liners and pump seal materials, requiring compatibility testing that the packaging manufacturer needed to accommodate in their production process
